Story by Wes Merriott
SOBO.live is proud to announce that we are now an official broadcast affiliate of the NFHS Network, the largest high school sports streaming platform in the country. That means Parkway High School sports will not only stay front and center in South Bossier, but will also be easier to find and follow nationwide.
This move brings three big wins for our community:
- National visibility for Parkway athletes
- Real world experience for Parkway’s student broadcasters in KPAW
- Official, compliant access to LHSAA postseason and championship coverage
Below is a breakdown of what this means for fans, students, and families.
Parkway In The National Conversation
The NFHS Network is the leader in live and on demand high school sports coverage, streaming events from over 30 different sports in all 50 states.
Partnering with NFHS Network puts Parkway into that ecosystem. Panthers games that SOBO.live produces for the platform will live alongside playoff games, championships, and top matchups from across the country. For athletes and coaches, that means:
- A larger audience for big performances
- Easier access for college coaches and recruiters to find game film
- A professional home for archives of key games and moments
When Parkway reaches the postseason, SOBO.live will now be able to serve as an official, authorized source of playoff content under LHSAA and NFHS Network rules.
What This Means For KPAW Students
KPAW, Parkway’s student broadcast team, is at the heart of this partnership.
By working through SOBO.live on NFHS Network productions, students will:
- Use industry standard streaming workflows and graphics
- Work on official regular season and postseason broadcasts
- Build real credits and reels they can show to colleges and employers
The NFHS Network was built with school broadcast programs in mind. Its School Broadcast Program model is designed to give student broadcasters hands on experience in live production while promoting their school.
For Parkway students, that means the work they do on Friday nights at Preston Crownover and weeknights at The Cage is no longer just a class project, it becomes part of a recognized national platform.
Fan Questions: Where Can I Watch?
We know the first thing fans want to know is simple:
“Can I still watch on Facebook and YouTube?”
Yes.
All regular season SOBO.live broadcasts for Parkway will continue to stream to Facebook and YouTube completely free, just like they always have. Nothing changes there. If you have been watching on your phone, TV, or laptop through Facebook or YouTube, you can keep doing that for regular season coverage.
“What about playoff games and championships?”
This is where NFHS Network comes in.
For LHSAA playoff games, state championships, and other postseason events, NFHS Network holds the streaming rights as part of its agreements with state athletic associations. The NFHS Network currently provides playoff and championship coverage for more than 44 NFHS member state associations and is partnered with 46 high school state athletic and activities associations nationwide.
Because of those exclusive rights:
- Postseason Parkway games carried by SOBO.live will be streamed on the NFHS Network platform
- These playoff and championship broadcasts will require an NFHS Network subscription
In short:
- Regular season: Free on Facebook and YouTube through SOBO.live
- Playoffs and championships: On NFHS Network with a subscription
Why An NFHS Network Subscription Is Worth It
An NFHS Network subscription is not just a “Parkway-only” pass. It is a national high school sports pass.
With a membership, fans get:
- Access to live and on demand coverage from over 30 sports
- Events from schools and state associations across all 50 states
- Official playoff and state championship coverage from more than 44 NFHS member state associations
The NFHS Network has already streamed over 1 million high school events since its launch and in recent years has projected over 1 million live events in a single school year as participation grows.
That means an NFHS subscription gives you access to:
- Parkway postseason games
- Games from former local players now competing in other states
- Big time matchups, playoff runs, and championships nationwide
You can watch on web browsers, mobile apps, and connected TV platforms like Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and others.
Why SOBO.live Chose This Path
Two things guided this decision:
- Doing right by Parkway and LHSAA rules
The LHSAA has strict broadcast rights for postseason play. NFHS Network is the official streaming partner for many states, including Louisiana for playoff and championship coverage. Non-NFHS broadcasters like SOBO.live previously were required to pay fees as high as $500 per game to broadcast playoff programs. Partnering as an affiliate keeps Parkway in compliance while still letting SOBO.live be the production voice for our teams. - Giving our kids a bigger runway
Parkway athletes and KPAW student broadcasters deserve to be seen and heard beyond the local bubble. NFHS Network gives them that reach while still keeping the heartbeat of the broadcasts here in South Bossier.
