In a dominant performance, the Parkway Panthers secured a resounding 45-0 victory against the Southwood Cowboys in District 1-5A action.

Parkway improved their season record to 5-1, with a 2-1 district standing, while Southwood fell to 0-6 overall and 0-3 in district play. The Panthers wasted no time igniting the Homecoming crowd’s excitement, scoring on their first possession as Kaleb Williams connected with Antonio Gladney for a 13-yard touchdown pass. The Panthers’ defense was equally impressive, thwarting Southwood’s attempts to gain ground.

The second quarter saw more of Parkway’s offensive prowess, with a 31-yard touchdown pass from Williams to Jayden Lewis and a 66-yard punt return for a touchdown by Mark Copenhaver. Southwood struggled to break through Parkway’s defense, resulting in a 31-0 halftime lead for the Panthers.

In the second half, Parkway continued to dominate, with Gladney sprinting for a 56-yard touchdown and a successful onside kick recovery. Williams completed 18-of-20 passes for 210 yards, while Lewis, Collier, and Gladney shone as key contributors to Parkway’s offensive firepower.

The Panthers look ahead to their next game against Byrd tomorrow night at Independence Stadium.
