The Parkway Lady Panthers soccer team made a statement in the first round of the Division II playoffs with a commanding 8-0 win over A.J. Ellender. Emma Albarado and Isabel Bright shone for the Lady Panthers, scoring two goals each in the match that took place at Bobby Marlow Field at Preston Crownover Stadium. The half-time score was already 5-0, showcasing the dominance and skill of the Parkway team.

Marie Smith’s 33-yard goal and her impressive offensive assists earned her Woman of the Match.

Aubrey Wallace, Kenadee Honaker, Marie Smith, and Hallie Worthy also added to the score sheet with one goal each, and the Lady Panthers had no shortage of assists, with Albarado, Maggie Schoenborn, Honaker, Kamryn Bluitt, and Wallace all contributing. The final score of 8-0 truly reflected the dominance of the Parkway team and the hard work they put in leading up to this match.

The Lady Panthers now move on to the second round of the playoffs, where they will host No. 9 David Thibodaux. With another home field advantage for round 2, the Lady Panthers will be ready to continue playoff run and show the world what they are capable of.
